?  ISCC Introduction
ISCC, a globally applicable sustainability certification system, covers all sustainable feedstocks, including biomass, biowastes and residues from agriculture, forestry and aquaculture, non-biorenewable materials, recycled materials and renewables. Originating from Germany, ISCC leads certification system in supporting no-deforestation, environmental, sustainable and traceable supply chains. The ISCC system has been developed through an open multi-stakeholder process and strives for a world where biomass and other raw materials are produced in an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable manner.
With the popularity of sustainability and carbon emission issues, ISCC certification has been requested by increasing customers. So far, ISCC has more than 8000 customers, 230 memberships, and issued more than 45000 certificates overseas, which covers over 130 regions, among the world’s largest certification system.
 

?  Service Scope
NG28 Certification was approved to provide 2 certification system, ISCC EU and ISCC PLUS. 
 

ISCC EU:
ISCC EU is a leading certification system that has been fully recognized by the European Commission, which is compliant with Renewable Energy Directive (REDII) and applicable for sustainable production of Biofuels and Biomass, the market and trading chains of biomaterials and biofuels for both food and non-food applications. ISCC EU is mandatory requirement for entering the EU energy market.
The products type of ISCC EU certification includes: 
Sustainable fuels used for transport, electricity, heating and cooling and the production of electricity, heating and cooling from biomass in the European Union. Covering biofuels, bioliquids, biomass fuels, advanced fuels, low ilUC risk fuels, RFNBO* and recycled carbon fuels* (to be included).

ISCC PLUS:
ISCC PLUS certification is a voluntary scheme that complements the ISCC EU certification system by adding certification of the sustainable production of raw materials in the household sector, such as chemicals, food and household products. ISCC PLUS is applicable for biomass and non-biomass raw material producers, as well as different segments of the supply chain, such as cultivation, harvesting, processing, storage, transportation, and sales. 
The products type of ISCC PLUS certification includes: 

• Bio Materials: Corn, sugarcane, and other renewable plants, agricultural waste, etc.

• Circular Materials: Recycled plastics, such as PET from post-consumer waste.

• Bio-Circular Materials: Used cooking oil (UCO) and animal fats, etc. 

Application: 
ISCC EU: 
Biofuels regulated by RED and FQD. 
ISCC PLUS: 
Circular and bio-based products, renewables, food, feed, biofuels outside the EU (in markets not regulated by RED and FQD)  
 

Certification Condition: 
• Be approved to collect, process, trade in recycled wastes, residues, and other products. 
• Have workers responsible for implementation of standards. 
• Not on the blacklist of the EU recognition system. 
• Commit to adhering the requirements of ISCC. 
 

Certification Process: 
1.    Choose a Certification to Your Market 
Since there are different certification systems for various markets, choosing an appropriate. certification system to your products should be first step. 
2.    Choose a Certification Body 
Choose a certification body (CB) and sign a contract with them.  
3.    Register with ISCC 
Register with ISCC by completing the registration form. ISCC will check each registration submission and contact the applicant if additional information is needed. This process may take few days to finish. It is advisable to register as soon as possible after signing the contract with the certification body.
4.    Get Audited by Your Certification Body 
4.1 Internal Audit: 
Set up an audit team - Identify missing information - Compliment missing information - Conduct an internal audit. 
4.2 Certification Audit: 
Accept the Audit from the Certification Body 
• Provide all necessary proofs, documents and data as well as access to relevant locations. 
• Receive the audit report and a list with corrective measures, if necessary. 
• Implement the corrective measures within 40 days (if applicable).

4.3 Issue Your Certificate 
The Certification Body forwards audit documents including certificate to you and submits them in the ISCC HUB. Once submitted in the ISCC HUB, the certificate information and respective certificate pdf and Summary Audit Report pdf are published immediately on the ISCC website (link to valid certificate website) 
5.    Get Your Certification 
Once you finish the above steps, you are allowed to purchase, produce and trade ISCC sustainable material. The certification will be published on the ISCC website after the certification and report are checked.
